Service exports from India – Service exports accounted to $80 billion in 2007-08. Software and other miscellaneous services (including professional, technical and business services) have emerged as the main categories in India’s service exports. Software exports grew by around 36% between 1995-96 and 2007-08 and reached $ 40 billion in 2007-08. Travel and transportation are other main service export items.
