National Rural Health Mission – launched in 2005. The main aim is to provide accessible, affordable, accountable, effective, and reliable primary health care facilities especially to the poor and vulnerable sections of the population. ASHA, AYUSH etc. are linked to the rural health mission. Mother and Child Care and prevention and treatment of communicable diseases such as TB and Malaria are vital part of the NRHM.
